I started my real fitness journey in 2013 when after years of being told by my primary care physician I needed to get off the couch I got into the gym. I was overweight at 217 at the time. I joined Five Forks Athletics when the gym opened in October 2013. Since joining I have lost 60 lbs and was able to come off my statin for cholesterol.
In 2017 I earned my CrossFIt L1 certificate and the owners of FFA gave me the opportunity to coach at the gym. When God says I have plans for you I never in my wildest dreams thought about a career in fitness. I have been working out, coaching classes, and training new athletes joining the gym. As a trainer my emphasis is to work with those 50 years and older or who we like to call Masters. I have competed in The Garage Games Masters Tour for CrossFit Masters athletes the past three years.
I am originally from Pittsburgh PA. I am retired after careers in Rock & Roll, Information Technology, and Cybersecurity. I am active in my church, I love to read, and the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins are my favorite teams.
