Athlete of the Month of March 2026

Years at Five Forks Athletics: 1

"Enough was enough"

When did you start at Five Forks Athletics?

"I started August 6th, 2025!"

What is your favorite workout?

"I enjoy the variations, weights, and gymnastics. I get bored, so the variety keeps me guessing."

What type of exercise were you doing before Five Forks Athletics?"

"Up until 2018, I would run, ride horses, and dabble in pole fitness. Then life events happened, and I essentially became a couch potato until I showed up here."

What are your health and fitness goals and have you achieved any of those goals, how’s it going so far?"

"Until 2018 I was very fit. I since gained 30lbs, lacked energy, and lost muscle. I have always been able to do at least 1 pull up, but I lost it all, dangling like a silly monkey. "Enough was enough". Since joining Five Forks, I am now at 3-5 pullups, cardio has improved, energy improved, I feel strong, and even though I haven't lost weight I am happy with what I see in the mirror. I still have one bad habit to nip in bud and I am sure that excess weight will follow."

Has Five Forks Athletics affected your life outside the gym?

"I don't huff and puff so quickly under saddle anymore and I bet it won't take much more for me to run a 5k again thanks to the cardio. My body feels solid and stable from the weight training. I was able to re acquire a few of my lost gymnastic moves. My confidence is back and it's fun to see people inspired by the journey."

Do you have any other special memories or achievements during your time here?

"The feeling of belonging in a community is so unique to this gym. It reminds me of back in high-school sports where you all played and supported each other. Coaches calling your names, teammate fist bumps, and no judgment because we are all in this together."
