When did you start at Five Forks Athletics?
""Day 1! Been here since the start!"
What is your favorite workout?
"All of them. But if I had to pick one WOD I’d say Grace is #1. My favorite lift is definitely deadlift! Really anything with barbells and burpees!"
What type of exercise were you doing before Five Forks Athletics?"
"I don’t remember that far back. Probably lots of curls."
What are your health and fitness goals and have you achieved any of those goals, how’s it going so far?"
"I want to run an ultramarathon with my kids and my grandkids so I just want to stay fit for at least the next 50 years. I finally hit my goal of 500lb deadlift in March so that was exciting!"
Has Five Forks Athletics affected your life outside the gym?
"Yes 100%! I’m fitter and most of my closest friends are from FFA!"
Do you have any other special memories or achievements during your time here?
"So many memories…Friday Night Lights in the old gym were special. The first time I met Doug Hunt was during one of these events. I was up against Jake in a head-to-head final heat workout that included double unders and Doug was asked to judge me. During the first round of DU I was maybe 80-90 reps in and I look over at Doug to ask how many more I had to go. He just looked back at me with a shrug and that smile we all know well. I just laughed and I knew right away that I was going to like this guy."
