When did you start at Five Forks Athletics?
"May 2022"
What is your favorite workout?
"I genuinely enjoy all the classes, even when my face doesn’t show it, ha ha. I love cross-over workouts when I can try out new skills such as barbell, wall walks and pull-ups. I always want to do legs!"
What type of exercise were you doing before Five Forks Athletics?
"My family ran a stable, so I grew up riding and showing horses. I did yoga and floor pilates for several years. I went to a lunch hour bootcamp-style class at the gym where I work until I started working at home in 2020. I love going on long walks and try to take my dogs out every day."
What are your health and fitness goals and have you achieved any of those goals, how’s it going so far?
"My goals are feeling healthy, happy, strong - and looking good. I’m 54 and wish I had started training earlier in life. I always want to be better, but I’m happy with my progress."
Has Five Forks Athletics affected your life outside the gym?
"Yes! The FFA coaches and community set such a good example of how health-conscious, positive, and kind people can be, and inspire me to be my best in and out of the gym."
Do you have any other special memories or achievements during your time here?
"Although it’s pretty cool that I did Murph, I’m getting better at push-ups and pull-ups, I’ve tried cleans, etc.; my memories are mostly about the people. I have a million memories of being amazed, inspired, supported, and laughing with friends. It’s great to be surrounded by people who make you better!"
